We are a Miami-based angel investor network. AGP stands for Accelerated Growth Partners. That's what we do with each entrepreneur; we partner up to accelerate growth.
We hold pitch meetings every four to six weeks where startups who have been through our Selection Process present to AGP Members. Each individual Member decides whether to invest or not. Hence, AGP is not a fund but rather an investment club of like-minded accredited investors who are passionate about disruptive startups. Due to legal limitations, these meetings are for Members-only.
As a group, our average investment is U$150,000; ranging from U$50,000 to U$500,000. Our goal is to close in under 40 days from the pitch meeting.
AGP also hosts public events focused on angel investing education.

Angel Forum of Florida is a not-for-profit organization that facilitates interaction between individual investors and Florida entrepreneurs by providing a networking forum for entrepreneurs, investors and service providers to meet and collaborate. The Angel Forum of Florida, formerly known as AIFFL, was established in the fall of 2005. Our mission is primarily executed through our monthly forums where we showcase emerging and expanding Florida-based businesses seeking Angel investments and provide educational presentations for our Members and Guests about entrepreneurial investing, as well as organizations and programs supporting local business development.

Since its creation in 1985, The Beacon Council has completed more than 1,000 new location and expansion projects, for a long list of companies, such as Wells Fargo Advisors, Discovery Network-Latin America, BD Biosciences, Federal Express, Telefonica, Burger King, Ryder System, Inc. and Visa Inc.
Today, The Beacon Council continues to advance community's objectives through a carefully planned action-oriented agenda developed in collaboration with Miami-Dade government, education, business and civic leaders.
Startup Quest® is a nationally recognized entrepreneurship-training program that connects teams of qualified participants with successful CEOs and entrepreneurs to learn the steps needed to transform an invention from our state universities and NASA into a product for the marketplace. The 10-session program advances an additional model for workforce development by growing self-employment through entrepreneurship, shifting the mindset from “find a job” to “create my job.” Trainees are guided by mentors — successful, often serial, entrepreneurs — in developing a business plan, marketing plan and an investor pitch.

With their guidance, our 850+ Endeavor Entrepreneurs throughout Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and now the U.S. have created 225,000+ high-value jobs and in 2012, generated $6 billion.
Enterprise Development Corporation Florida (EDC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides advisory and support services to help position entrepreneurs, investors, and partners for success and grow South Florida’s start-up ecosystem. As part of its mission, the nonprofit organization actively facilitates connections between entrepreneurs and investors, organizes impactful events, attracts capital, and helps shape a regional agenda to strengthen the local entrepreneurial ecosystem. Since 1994, it has helped more than 300 companies per year, and its total economic impact in South Florida has exceeded $500 million.
FAU Tech Runway is a south Florida public-private partnership forms to foster technology start-ups. Through the creation of place, entrepreneurs find the complete ecosystem to house, educate, mentor and fund their companies from inception through venturing.
FAU Tech Runway provides accepted companies a program based on two proven models for startup ventures, MIT’s Venture Mentoring Service and Stanford’s NSF-funded Lean Launchpad curriculum. When offered in conduction with FAU’s existing resources, including the office of Undergraduate Research and Inquiry (OURI) and the Research Park at FAU, FAU Tech Runway provides ventures the complete ecosystem for successful launch.
FIU’s Pino Global Entrepreneurship Center provides entrepreneurs with the knowledge and contacts that enable them to reach their objectives through educational and networking events. Through a wide range of programs and initiatives, Entrepreneurship at FIU connects people, ideas and resources in ways that help boost existing businesses toward rapid growth and transform innovative concepts into thriving ventures. Our resources include one of the nation's top entrepreneurship centers and strategic partnerships with the Florida SBDC Network and with eMerge Americas.
The Florida Angel Nexus (“FAN”) powers angel investment groups statewide. We solve challenges common for these groups: deal flow, due diligence, portfolio management, and need for broader context. We enable investors to invest in small groups of their own choosing and meet highly specialized goals while enjoying the efficiency of a large investment entity. Prospective companies undergo a rigorous vetting process. Leveraging our extensive network of industry experts, FAN coordinates investigations to better understand the market, product, and execution risk of investment opportunities. Selected companies gain exposure to a large number of investors from angel groups across the state who coinvest to meet the company’s fundraising goals; the angel groups gain far more insights than they can generate on their own. It’s a win-win situation.
Florida Funders, LLC, is an investment portal that connects accredited investors with startups seeking funding. Accredited investors who register on the local portal can access information on companies seeking investment. If there is enough interest from investors to meet the company’s funding requirements, Florida Funders facilitates the investment by creating a special purpose vehicle (SPV) specifically for the company seeking the investment. The SPV then becomes the sole investor in the company while the individual investors are members of the SPV.
The Florida Institute for the Commercialization of Public Research supports new company creation based on technologies developed through publicly-funded research. Leveraging a $2B research base statewide, the Institute works collaboratively with public and private universities and research institutions to deliver company building and funding programs in innovation industries that are driving the global economy.
The Florida Venture Forum is a statewide member organization that helps entrepreneurs obtain funding through education, strategic partnering and effective networking. The Forum's educational programs provide in-depth information on topics such as raising debt and equity capital, human resources, finance, management, term sheet negotiation, valuations, marketing and R&D. Offering candid management and financial advice, and hands-on technical assistance, these programs offer a valuable learning experience for entrepreneurs and growing companies.
The InternetCoast mission is to be a catalyst for thought, analysis, and action for innovation and tech driven job creation. It will achieve its mission by collaborating with leaders in business, academia, research, investment, and nonprofit sectors to assess our challenges, build consensus on the best strategies for response, and work on solutions together.
The InternetCoast website includes customized search capability for events and news by industry sector and topic of interest; benchmarks for regional and statewide innovation performance; and a database of sources of funds for R&D, proof of concept, and commercialization of innovative products and services.
